Minutes for a meeting of the Planning Committee of Burgh le Marsh Town Council

171.20 To receive apologies.

Apologies were received and accepted from Cllr P Phillips.

172.20 To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011.

Cllr M Greenhalgh declared professionally working with the applicant in item 6 S/023/02113/20

173.20 To note general correspondence.

 Committee members noted email correspondence from Cadent regarding a site meeting to discuss access for a gas main pipe replacement over Tinkers Green.   This is a statuary requirement.   It was agreed for Cllr N Cooper to attend the site meeting as arranged.

174.20 Application:   S/023/02082/20

Applicant:      A. E Hewison Ltd

Proposal:       Planning permission – siting of an additional 34 no. static caravans with associated decking, sheds, low level light and construction of internal access roads.

Council committee members noted and viewed the application.

Committee members comment that the site is overcrowded, it encroaches in the open countryside, there is no established planting to help with the appearance of the site, land height of the site impacts on the natural view of the open countryside.

After discussion and vote it was agreed that this application was not supported.

175.20 Application:     S/023/02076/20

Applicant:        Mrs & Mrs J Thorndike

Proposal:         Planning Permission – extensions and alterations to existing bungalow to provide a dining area/lounge and to include the raising of the roof height to provide a first-floor bedroom with en-suite on the site of the existing garage which is to be removed.

Location:         29 Elm Crescent, Burgh le Marsh, Skegness PE24 5EG

Committee members noted and viewed the application.  Committee members comment that the property extension would cause significant loss of amenity to neighbours.    The property would not be in keeping with other properties on Elm Crescent, being an area of bungalows.

After discussion and vote it was unanimously agreed not to support the

application.

176.20  Application:   S/023/02113/20

Applicant:      Faulkers Lakes

Proposal:       Planning permission – change of use of land for the siting of 23 no. additional lodge caravans with associated sheds, decking, parking and lighting.

Location:        Faulkers Fish Farm, Faulkers Lane, Burgh le Marsh, Skegness, PE24 5HW

 Committee members noted and viewed the application.

After discussion and no concerns raised, it was agreed to support the application.

177.20 Application: S/039/02047/20

Applicant:      Blue Anchor Leisure Ltd

Proposal:       Planning permission – change of use of land for the siting of 33 no. static caravans with decking and sheds.  Excavation of land to form a wildlife pond, siting of gas compound with fencing, construction of vehicular access and internal roads.

Location:        Croft Bank Caravan Site, Croft Bank, Croft, Skegness, Lincs

PE24 4RE.

Committee members noted and viewed the application.   After discussion and no concerns raised it was agreed to support the application.

178.20 Applicant:      S/023/01234/20

Applicant:      Seymour Park Ltd

Proposal:       Section 73 application in relation to condition no 3 (foul drainage) imposed on planning permission ref no S/023/00537/20.

Location:        Burgh Gardens, Skegness Road, Burgh le Marsh, Skegness,

PE24 5LN.

Committee members noted and viewed the application.  After discussion and no concerns raised it was agreed to support the application.
